Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 26 July 2026

1. Seller

The website magicbattlefield.com is operated by Cyril Keime, individual entrepreneur (entrepreneur individuel — EI):

  • Business address: 15 avenue Victor Hugo, 78400 Chatou, France
  • SIREN number: registration in progress
  • VAT: VAT not applicable — French small-business exemption, art. 293 B of the CGI
  • Email: contact@magicbattlefield.com
  • Telephone: line being assigned

Referred to below as the "Seller".

2. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern orders for digital content placed through magicbattlefield.com between the Seller and a consumer or non-professional customer, referred to below as the "Customer".

The Customer must be able to read, save and print these Terms before ordering. Placing an order requires their express acceptance.

Purchases intended for commercial exploitation, resale or professional use require the Seller's prior agreement and, where applicable, a separate licence.

3. Pre-opening and temporary closures

Sales open on 01/09/2026.

Until that date, no paid sale is concluded on the website. Paid content remains displayed with its price, for information only: it cannot be ordered and no payment is processed.

An order with a total of zero, made up exclusively of free content, can however be placed during this period. It is confirmed and supplied immediately, with no payment step.

These Terms apply to those free orders, except for the provisions on price and payment (articles 5 and 7). In particular, the statutory conformity guarantee in article 10 applies to digital content supplied in exchange for personal data, such as the email address needed to deliver it.

The provisions concerning Stripe Managed Payments take effect when sales open.

After sales have opened, the shop may close temporarily, for example over a holiday period. The same rules then apply: prices remain displayed, paid content cannot be ordered, and only orders with a total of zero are processed. Any such closure is announced on the website, with its reopening date where known.

4. Digital products

The website offers only digital content supplied without a physical medium, mainly:

  • PDF documents;
  • three-dimensional models in STL format;
  • any additional files identified on the product page.

No physical item is delivered.

Each product page states the essential characteristics of the content, including its description, preview, formats, language, number or nature of files and, where relevant, dimensions, scale, version, compatibility and required software or equipment.

Previews may be partial but must faithfully represent the product offered. The product page and information displayed before checkout form part of the contractual information.

The Customer must check the stated technical requirements before ordering. This does not limit the statutory conformity guarantee.

5. Prices and taxes

Reference prices are displayed in euros. Free content is displayed at a price of €0.00.

From the opening of sales, Stripe Managed Payments may convert the price into the Customer's local currency and calculate, add or display applicable indirect taxes based on location and product classification.

The final price, currency and any applicable tax are displayed in Stripe Checkout before payment. No physical-delivery fee is charged.

Stripe/Link handles indirect taxes in the countries and for the transactions covered by Managed Payments. The Seller remains responsible for taxes and obligations outside that scope and for the Seller's own income-tax and social-contribution obligations.

6. Orders

Before confirming, the Customer can review the order, its total price and correct any errors.

The order becomes final after:

  1. acceptance of these Terms;
  2. any request for immediate supply of the digital content;
  3. where a price is due, confirmation of payment in Stripe Checkout;
  4. where a price is due, confirmation of payment by Stripe Managed Payments.

An order with a total of zero has no payment step at all: it is confirmed as soon as it is placed.

The Seller or Stripe/Link may reject, cancel or refund a transaction where permitted by law, these Terms or the Managed Payments terms, including refused payment, suspected fraud, an obvious error or an inability to supply the product.

7. Payment — Stripe Managed Payments

Where a price is due, payment is processed through Stripe Managed Payments. For these transactions, Sold through Link, LLC / Stripe acts as merchant of record and facilitates the sale of the Seller's product.

The Customer sees "Sold through Link" in Stripe Checkout and on receipts. Stripe/Link's standard payment terms, available at checkout, apply to the transaction in addition to these Terms.

Stripe/Link handles payment collection, payment methods, transaction receipts and invoices, fraud prevention, payment disputes and transaction-level support.

The Seller does not receive full payment-card details. Stripe shares the order information required for the Seller to supply the product and manage the customer relationship.

Paid digital content is supplied only after Stripe confirms payment.

8. Supply and download

Except in the event of a technical incident, the digital content is made available immediately after the order is confirmed, on the confirmation page and/or through a link sent to the email address provided.

Some files are generated specifically for the Customer after confirmation. They are prepared one after another: allow a few minutes per file, and longer for an order of several large battlemats. The confirmation page shows the state of each file and an email is sent as soon as they are ready.

The download link remains available for 7 days. The number of downloads is not limited during that period. The Customer should download and back up the files promptly.

The Customer is responsible for providing an accurate email address. A missing link or failed download may be reported to contact@magicbattlefield.com.

Accidental loss after download does not affect the Customer's rights where the content is defective or non-conforming.

9. Withdrawal right and immediate supply

A consumer normally has fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract.

For digital content supplied without a physical medium, the withdrawal right can no longer be exercised when:

  1. the Customer expressly consented to supply beginning before the end of the fourteen-day period;
  2. the Customer acknowledged that the withdrawal right would be lost;
  3. the Seller confirmed that agreement on a durable medium.

Before confirming an order, the Customer is therefore asked to select a separate, unticked box stating:

I expressly request that supply of the digital content begin immediately, before the end of the fourteen-day withdrawal period, and I acknowledge that once the download has been made available I will lose my withdrawal right.

The box is not pre-selected. The Customer's consent and acknowledgement are confirmed in the order email.

This consent is required in order to buy: the shop sells only files supplied immediately and offers no deferred supply. Without it the order is not validated and no payment is requested.

Where a withdrawal right remains available, it can be exercised as described on the Withdrawal page.

Loss of the withdrawal right does not limit the Customer's rights where a file is non-conforming, corrupted, incomplete or different from its description.

10. Statutory conformity guarantee

The Seller is responsible for the statutory conformity guarantee applicable to digital content under French consumer law.

To request conformity, contact the Seller:

  • 15 avenue Victor Hugo, 78400 Chatou, France
  • contact@magicbattlefield.com
  • line being assigned

Statutory conformity guarantee for digital content

The consumer has two years from supply of the digital content or digital service to invoke the statutory conformity guarantee if a lack of conformity appears. For one year from the date of supply, the consumer only has to establish that the lack of conformity exists and does not have to establish when it appeared.

The statutory conformity guarantee requires all updates necessary to maintain conformity of the digital content or digital service to be supplied.

The consumer is entitled to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following the request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience.

The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or service, or may terminate the contract and obtain a full refund in exchange for ceasing use of the content or service, where:

  1. the professional refuses to bring it into conformity;
  2. conformity is delayed without justification;
  3. conformity cannot be achieved without charging the consumer;
  4. conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;
  5. the lack of conformity continues after an unsuccessful attempt to correct it.

The consumer is also entitled to an immediate price reduction or termination where the lack of conformity is sufficiently serious. In that case, the consumer need not first request conformity.

Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer may terminate the contract only where the contract did not require payment of a price.

Any period during which the digital content or service is unavailable for conformity work suspends the remaining guarantee period until conforming content or service is supplied again.

These rights arise under Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.

A professional who acts in bad faith to obstruct the statutory guarantee may incur a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to 10 % of average annual turnover, under Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code.

The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code for two years from discovery of the defect. This may entitle the consumer to a price reduction while retaining the content or a full refund in exchange for ceasing use of it.

This English text is provided for information. The French version of the statutory notice reflects the official wording and prevails where interpretation is required.

11. Support, refunds and complaints

For a product-level issue — including a missing, corrupted, incomplete or non-conforming file, incorrect compatibility information or a download problem — contact contact@magicbattlefield.com with the order number.

For a transaction-level issue — including payment method, receipt, charge, payment dispute or refund status — the Customer may use the Link support route shown in Stripe Checkout or on the receipt.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable rights, the Seller will offer:

  • a new download link;
  • the complete or corrected file;
  • conformity of the content;
  • a price reduction;
  • or a refund where legally required.

Stripe/Link may also issue a refund under the Managed Payments refund policy, including within sixty days after purchase, even where the Seller's own policy is more restrictive. Where the policies conflict, the Stripe/Link policy controls to the extent provided by the Managed Payments terms.

12. Licence

Unless a different licence is expressly stated on the product page, the download grants a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence with no right to sublicense.

The Customer may:

  • download and retain a backup copy;
  • use and print a PDF for personal purposes;
  • use an STL file and make physical 3D prints for personal purposes.

Without prior written permission, the Customer may not:

  • share or redistribute the files, free of charge or for payment;
  • resell, rent, publish or make the files available online;
  • sell printed copies, 3D prints or derivative products;
  • incorporate the files, or a substantial part of them, into another distributed product;
  • remove or circumvent any rights notice where present.

The absence of a watermark or technical lock does not change these restrictions.

All intellectual-property rights not expressly licensed remain with their respective owners.

13. Liability and technical environment

The Seller supplies files in accordance with their description and remains bound by mandatory statutory guarantees.

The Customer is responsible for the choice and operation of software, hardware, printing settings and materials where the compatibility requirements were clearly stated before the download.

The outcome of an STL print depends on factors including the printer, slicer, material, calibration, supports and settings. Such variability does not by itself establish that the file is defective.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

14. Personal data

Processing carried out by the Seller is described in the Privacy Policy.

Stripe and Link also process payment, Link-account and transaction data for their own purposes and responsibilities. Their policies are available in Stripe Checkout and in "Sold through Link" communications.

Stripe shares with the Seller the information required to supply the product and manage the customer relationship. Data required to perform an order is not processed on the basis of marketing consent.

15. Consumer mediation

The Customer must first submit a complaint to the Seller at contact@magicbattlefield.com.

If the complaint is not resolved, a consumer may use a consumer mediation scheme free of charge.

Membership of a consumer mediation scheme is being arranged. The mediator's contact details will be published here before sales open on 01/09/2026.

The request must satisfy the mediator's admissibility rules.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law.

This choice does not deprive a consumer living in another country of any mandatory protection provided by the law of the consumer's country of residence where applicable.

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably or through mediation, jurisdiction is determined by the applicable legal rules. These Terms do not require a consumer to use a court other than one available under mandatory law.

17. Languages

These Terms are available in French and English. In the event of a difference in interpretation, the French version is the reference version, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection.
